Redesigned the website for Aces Tattoos, Denton Texas' premier Tattoo studio. Redesign included a logo refresh, complete UI/code overhaul, PHP Gallery and Guestbook. Template creation configured to work with Adobe Contribute to allow the client to maintain the site themselves.
Crucial Limit created a website, logo, business cards and brand identity for 82Tattoo.com. The website showcases the portfolio and artwork for one of the premier tattoo artists in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.
D.R. Horton Concepts
I was approached to create a few design ideas for the D.R. Horton Home Builders website redesign. I was one of several designers hired to provide design concepts based on some client provided criteria. These are a few screenshots of the concepts I provided.
Crucial Limit (Chapter Two)
Crucial Limit - Chapter Two is a website to display the portfolio work of Dave Gillem (aka Crucial Limit). This redesign was done to allow for a more maintainable site. The presentation was completely separated from the content using AMFPHP remoting, and a mySQL database to allow for scalability and ease of maintenance. This also provided a means for creating a static version of of the site that utilizes the same content base.
A different approach to shopping for Travel. We have created an app (yes its a beta... maybe even closer to an alpha release) that changes the approach to selling a vacation. Rather than say "hey where do you want to go, when do you want to leave, heres some flight options, have a great time..." we decided to instead say "So what do you want to do when you get there? What type of experience do you want to have? What do you need/want to know about your destination?". Its an app that allows a person planning a vacation to dream, research and plan their trip based on what they want to do as opposed to how they are going to get there. They can view higher resolution photos, videos, 360 views, save items off to a wishlist for later review and much more. - Full Flash Front-end, Java Backend, OpenAMF middle Tier - Class based / OOP style coding - Nothing hard coded - back button / deep linking integration - web analytics integration - and a bunch of stuff I've probably forgotten
Laterras R. Whitfield
Crucial Limit, along with The Design Core, created a website for the famed playwright and actor Laterras R. Whitfield. This is a hybrid website utilizing Flash technology for the navigation system. The site includes an intro movie shot against a green screen, placed on a background to match the website design and makes use of Flash for the streaming portion. The site was built to allow for client maintenance via Macromedia's Contribute software. It also includes a complete guestbook, and newsletter administration system created by The Design Core.
Crucial Limit created a brand identity and website for Kustom Tattooz, formerly known as House Of Chubby Tattoo. The site showcases the tattoo portfolio and artwork for tattoo artist, Chad Lambert. Website includes a guestbook, link administration, banner ads, logo design, video transitions, a complete content management system, custom audio player, contact form with auto responder, and store (awaiting merchandise from client).
Crucial Limit (Chapter One)
This was the first website for Crucial Limit. This was created using version 5 of the Flash plugin, and one of my first attempts at an "all Flash" websites. I took two weeks when I received my copy of Flash 5 to create my first portfolio website.
Travelocity Hotel Checkout
Single-screen Hotel Checkout for Travelocity.com. This was built in Adobe (Macromedia at the time) Flash and allowed a customer to reduce checkout times by ~500% and reduced errors by ~$200% by removing the page refresh from the equation. This was done during my time at Travelocity in 2004.
Unused Concept sketches and mockups
Random unused mockups and sketches that never came to fruition or where never used in the form shown.
Just some old sketches and doodles from the past. Hoping to get back to doing more pencil/ink work (1998-2005)
